Support for the Face ID feature using masks is one of the features provided by Apple to keep pace with the repercussions of the spread of the Corona epidemic and the need for users to wear masks.
And he confirmed the new feature “Brandon Butch” in a tweet posted on Twitter, where he explained the possibility of facial recognition with wearing a mask in the iOS 15.4 update to make Apple Pay, download applications from the App Store and also authenticate in third-party applications.
Also, if the feature is set to recognize the face while wearing the mask, the user will not need to wear the mask when adjusting the feature settings.
On the other hand, the beta version of iOS 15.4 comes with improvements to face recognition with the use of glasses, but some sunglasses are not compatible with the feature.
